Hitchen on shop assistants

I know what you are thinking. You read the title of this post and thought, "Aye, aye - that little Aussie bleeder's going to have a go at shop assistants now". Well, you would be wrong. OK, maybe just a slight dig but overall - a compliment!

I decided to go into a department store today to see if the 'Mens Department" had any shirts that caught my eye. I don't particularly need a shirt I have plenty, but I fancied a new one, providing it stood out and spoke to me - which is more than can normally be of said of the staff in that store who stand about talking to themselves. There - I told you there was a slight barb in this tale!

Normally the assistants are pretty "staid" a very definite shade of beige. Today however as soon as I stepped into the Mens section I was set upon by a Pink look-alike in a very short, very tight fitting woolen dress that clung like cling wrap to every curve - and there were a fair few of them to cling to!

"Can I help you Sir?" she enquired.

Feeling a little overpowered by this I decided to bustle my way thorough with humor.

"I'm looking for something that will make a short, fat, bald miserable old git look cool and chic" I replied. Quick as a flash she asked

"Ah, it's a present for someone is it Sir?"

Now that - is sales technique with buttons and bows tied on!

Sadly I was unable to reward her quick thinking with a purchase as she was representing a brand of shirt I don't particularly like! Ho Tommy!

Have a great weekend everyone and remember...

Wherever you may be - be safe
