A Tale of Two Fishes

Are you sitting comfortably? Then we'll begin...

Once upon a time there was a young, ambitious, greedy fish. Swimming along he saw a tasty morsel.

He saw the morsel - but did not see the hook nor the line it was hanging from, for his perception of his ability, far exceeded reality.

"That's mine," he said to himself and greedily snapped at the morsel. "Gotcha" said the man with a rod in his hands

Later, an older fish came along. Carrying the marks of many a fray, he too saw a tempting, tasty morsel

But whereas the the younger, greedier fish saw it as a morsel, the older one saw it as bait. He smiled and swam past.

The older fish continued his days frolicking, swimming, eating and breeding, As for the younger fish...

.Blinded by greed, ambition and inexperience, he was served served on a plate - to the man who paid the man with the rod
